On Saturday night I came home from a concert to discover that a violent storm had toppled the top of a big old oak into my front yard, knocking out power and phone lines. (Jeff from Connecticut Light and Power returned electricity to my house on Sunday, and Joe from AT&T hooked up the phone lines on Monday.)
